Undertow
Built from our own beginnings
Undertow was built out of our own entrepreneur journey.
In 2022, we took a chance on a new concept in a new city, opening San Diego’s first alcohol-free bar. We had big ideas, limited resources, and plenty of unknowns. With no clear roadmap, we learned to create what we needed as we went.
From shaping the brand and defining its voice to designing the website, creating the content, and building the community, we brought every piece together with intention. Every detail was part of a bigger vision: creating a brand that stands apart and connects with people.
Undertow grew out of that experience and the discovery of what we do best: bringing creativity, thoughtful design, and good hospitality together.
Experience we bring to the table
Between the two of us, we’ve built three businesses from the ground up and bring more than two decades of combined experience in hospitality and the beverage industry. We’ve learned by doing - developing brands, building websites, creating menus, managing day-to-day operations, and making people feel welcome. That hands-on experience gives us an understanding of what it takes to turn an idea into a business, with thoughtful design and experiences that keep people coming back.
